Just bought and fitted a new product from Reefloat a ATU antisyphon kit. This is ideal for anybody with their ATU pipe outlet above the water level in their reservoir to prevent the reservoir emptying into the sump etc. A simple idea that works great.
The kit consists of a 8mm x 8mm (I think it is) to 4mm/1/4" the tee that simply fits on the line from the pump to the sump or DT if you have it set up that way. A silicon airline from the 4mm/14" tee goes to a small bulkhead on the top of the reservoir if you have a top if not just put it somewhere above the reservoir water level. Simply 5 minute job and very effective.

Game changer for water changes
I've got to say I was a little sceptical about these water changers but after seeing reviews online my partner decided to buy me the AWC20 for my minireef 120, due to me having a bad back and lifting 20ltr tubs of water wasn't fun. My least favourite maintenance task...
It's sat on a cheap trolley from the A to Z place ;-) and it's a real game changer.
Before I was turning off my return pump, skimmer and ATO and syphoning water out into tubs and then pumping it back in after lifting a 20ltr jerry can onto a high cupbaoard.
This way I mix and heat it up for a couple of hours, wheel it round the tank, pop the pipes in, turn it on and leave it for an hour.
My juvenile clownfish love swimming in the gentle flow of fresh saltwater being pumped in, and no protein skimmer going berzerk after switching it back on after a manual water change!
If you're sat on the fence like I was, just hit the purchase button, you won't regret it!

I wish I had picked one of these up sooner!
I spent a long time reading about them and going back and forth, but now that I finally pulled the trigger, I couldn’t live without it.
With my smaller tank, it’s not just convenient, it makes water changes consistent and stable. I don’t even need to turn off pumps or other equipment. Everything mixes and changes in one vessel, which makes the whole process so much easier.
It’s a total game changer and has actually made water changes enjoyable.

Reefloat replacement Sensor
Swift delivery, easy replacement, quick press of calibration button and working very well with small top ups automatically now and again. The new sensor has been improved and works even better than the old one.
Great service as always, thank you.

My saviour!
I had been getting very downhearted with the upkeep and mess, to the point where I was missing water changes and the tank was suffering. I was almost to the point of giving up the hobby, until this clever little unit came into my life. Game changer! Get one! I promise you will not be disappointed. Thank you Gordon for restoring my passion for reefing and making water changes fun.
